THE LOS REYES PROJECT - AN OVERVIEW

Nestled 43 kilometres southeast of the amenable city of Cosalá in Sinaloa, the Los Reyes project represents a vast and promising venture for Prime Mining. The land package comprises a series of contiguous claims, unfurling over a substantial area of 13,800 hectares. Positioned within the bounds of the prodigiously productive Guadalupe De Los Reyes mining district, the project benefits from a rich vein of mining lineage that reaches back to the 18th century.

A CHRONICLE OF PROSPECT AND PROSPERITY

Gold and silver found their first admirers in the Los Reyes vicinage with the Spaniards' discovery in the late 1700s. This initial encounter with the precious metals led to vigorous mining activity that spanned over a century and a half until the 1950s. The Guadalupe de los Reyes underground mine emerged during the latter part of the 19th century as a notable epicentre for mineral extraction. It is accredited with producing an estimated 500-600,000 ounces of gold and 40 million ounces of silver. These precious commodities were extracted at reported grades exceeding 10 grams per tonne for gold and 500 grams per tonne for silver, showcasing the remarkable richness of the area. The mid-20th century witnessed a reduction in active mining within the Los Reyes district, with the focus shifting predominantly towards exploration reconnaissance studies. It was not until the 1990s that modern drilling technology breathed new life into the region. The drilling endeavours concentrated on defining the shallow and lower-grade gold-silver mineralization that lies proximal to the historic Los Reyes underground operations.

REMARKABLE RESOURCE DATA THROUGH EXTENSIVE DRILLING

Prime Mining has committed to understanding the promise of the Los Reyes project through rigorous exploration. Over 50,000 meters of reverse circulation (RC) and core drilling have transpired within the current confines of the project. This substantial undertaking has led to wide-ranging resource data that attest to the high stratigraphic potential of the area.

UNDERSTANDING THE GEOLOGY AND MINERALIZATION

The geological canvas of the property at Los Reyes is painted with a medley of intriguing geological formations characteristic of the Guadalupe de los Reyes mining district in the Sinaloa State's western foothills. These geological sequences in the Sierra Madre Occidental range establish a bedrock for mineral deposition. The foundational geology features a late Cretaceous-aged felsic batholith over which the volcanic sequence is unconformably overlaid. The volcanic formations within the property's boundaries are distributed into a Lower and Upper sequence, cleaved by an angular unconformity. The Lower Sequence is roughly one kilometre thick and consists predominantly of intermediate (andesite) volcanics and associated felsic intrusions. In contrast, the Upper Sequence hosts ash-flow and ash-fall tuffs. The parcels of mineralization are prominently located within a trio of silicified structural corridors that extend in the northwest and west-northwest orientations. These corridors represent the focal points for modern-day exploration, offering a portal into the region's mineral wealth. Prime Mining's Los Reyes project stands as a testament to the enduring allure of Mexico's mineral legacy.
