The OCA concessions cover 1,800 ha in the heart of Chile’s “Lithium Triangle,” with no royalties to dilute upside. Few explorers control such a large, contiguous brine package in this world-class district.
Infrastructure & Logistics
Unlike many remote salars, Ascotan sits astride a major highway and continental railway, with grid power (and even a geothermal plant) within 70 km and the deepwater port of Tocopilla ~350 km away. That helps keep future development capex and timelines manageable.
Early, High-Quality Exploration Data
Completed TEM/MT surveys have defined thick, highly conductive zones down to ~400 m—classic brine targets—and surface sampling returned up to 78 mg/L Li (average ~43 mg/L). Those metrics compare very favorably to many peers before they ever drilled.
Drilling & Permitting on Deck
With environmental approval and a community cooperation agreement already in-hand, First Lithium can move straight to its inaugural five-hole, up-to-500 m drill program in H1 2025. That catalyst could markedly re-rate the stock if the brine aquifer shows continuity and grade at depth.
Strong Financial & Management Backing
A clean balance sheet (C$2.2 M cash, zero debt) funds initial drilling without immediate dilution, while an experienced team—led by Rob Saltsman (VC veteran) and Aldo Moreno (43-101 QP with 40 years in Latin America)—de-risks execution.
Together, the combination of strategic location, robust early data, infrastructure access, permitting momentum and tight capital structure makes the Chile asset—and First Lithium as a whole—a standout opportunity in the burgeoning battery-metals space.
