Cambria Gold Mines

Cambria Gold Mines is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company primarily focused on restarting the historic Premier Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia's "Golden Triangle."

As of early 2026, the company is in a significant transitional phase following a decision to pause operations shortly after commissioning its mine in 2024.

Premier Gold Project (PGP):

Location: 25 km north of Stewart, BC, on Nisga’a Nation Treaty Lands.

Description: A 100%-owned flagship project centred on the historic Silbak Premier mine (once North America's largest gold producer).

Status: The company successfully poured its first gold in April 2024. However, operations were paused in late 2024 to address development and financial requirements.

Infrastructure: Includes a centralized 2,500 tonne-per-day processing plant, a tailings storage facility, and access to local hydroelectric power.

Red Mountain Project (RMP):

Located 23 km from the Premier mill, this high-grade gold project is intended to provide additional ore to the Premier processing facility in later years of the mine life.

Other Assets:  Cambria Gold Mines also holds several non-gold assets and exploration properties (e.g., Dilworth, Martha Ellen) within the same region.

Current Corporate Status (2025–2026)

The company is currently undergoing a comprehensive corporate and financial restructuring:

Exchange Listing: Cambria Gold Mines shares were transitioned to the NEX board (Ticker: AOT.H), a platform for companies that do not currently meet the listing requirements of the main TSX or TSX-V.

Creditor Restructuring: In December 2025, Ascot, later to become Cambria Gold Mines, announced a creditor restructuring plan and changes to its leadership team to stabilize its financial position.

Financing: To fund the "path forward," the company closed a significant Rights Offering and a Private Placement in late December 2025.

Leadership: The Company announces that Jim Currie will be stepping down as President, CEO and Director, replaced by Robert McLeod. Alex Morrison will join the Board of Directors as Lead Director, Ryan Wemark, P.Eng, will join as Executive Vice-President, and Tally Barmash will join as Corporate Secretary.

Investment Profile

Market Position: Once positioned as "Canada’s next gold producer," Cambria Gold Mines is now a "turnaround" story. Its future depends on the successful execution of its restructuring plan and securing the necessary capital to resume commercial production at Premier.
